Sales Intern

We are looking for a proactive and entrepreneurial Sales Intern to help bring our clean energy technology to European clients, with an initial focus on wholesale and commercial distribution in Austria and its neighboring countries. This is a 6-month internship with an opportunity for full-time employment.
Responsibilities:
Sales
- Learn and support sales to new and existing customers and distributors
- Learn and support sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Participate and support price negotiations and conclude sales contracts
- Participate and support record-keeping of all leads and customer accounts
Customer/Distributor Communications
- Assist with communications with new and existing customers and distributors
- Participate in technical inquiries
- Support marketing and PR activities
- Participate in exhibitions, industry events, and meetings
Continuous Improvement
- Identify potential weaknesses and offer improvement suggestions
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and promotional trends
- Maintain organized sales information
- Propose ideas to help maximize sales and build upon existing strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or pursuing completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree) in business, marketing, or other relevant field
- Interest in working in sales and a familiarity with the current sales techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal English (required) and German (preferred)
- Technical competency as well as ability, curiosity, and drive to understand the product
- Ability to work independently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Time management and organizational skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office and social media literacy
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism

- Support price negotiations and conclude sales contracts
- Generate offers tailored to customer / distributor needs
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all leads and customer accounts
Customer/Distributor Communications
- Assist with communications with new and existing customers and distributors
- Intermediate technical inquiries
- Improve existing and prepare new sales presentation materials
- Support all marketing and PR activities
- Participate in exhibitions, industry events, and meetings
Continuous Improvement
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams from the market, customers, and distributors to support roadmap development
- Identify and document customer needs, problems, and interests; competitive activities; and potential opportunities for new products and services
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and promotional trends
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, or other relevant field and/or 2 or more years of work experience in sales
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal English (required) and German (preferred)
- Client-first attitude and winner mentality
- Technical competency as well as ability, curiosity, and drive to understand the product
- Ability to work independently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and to be directly involved in all sales activities
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism
Additional Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the power and/or energy industries (preferred)
- Academic background in sales or business and/or energy or power-related fields (preferred)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (required) and CRM software (preferred)
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
