- Under 25 years of age 50% discount on trains and buses (by travel to other cities)

- Students in full-time program are entitled to a 90% discount on trains and buses country passes ("országbérlet" or "vármegye-bérlet")

- Students in half-time program are not entitled to reduced travel rates under the new regulation, and those under 25 years of age can benefit from the age-based discount

- The changes are provided for in Government Decree 38/2024 (29.2.2024) on travel discounts for public passenger transport, which entered into force on 1 March 2024.

For SZTE students, there are no changes to the local public transport in Szeged! You can still buy a student pass or semester pass with a valid student ID card and valid sticker.
