Dr. Dániel Veréb graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of the University of Szeged in 2016 with a summa cum laude qualification. Between 2017 and 2019, he was a student at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics department of SZTE, studying programming. Between 2016 and 2020, he worked as a PhD scholar at the SZTE Department of Neurology under the supervision of Dr. Tamás Zsigmond Kincses, where he investigated the pathomechanism and quantitative diagnostic markers of various neurological diseases using neuroimaging methods. He defended his PhD in Szeged in 2021. In 2020, he spent 2 months on a scholarship in Nijmegen at the Donders Center for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, where he researched brain changes after a stroke using functional MRI techniques under the guidance of Prof. Christian Beckmann. In 2021-2022, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm under the supervision of Dr. Joana Pereira, where he researched the pathomechanism of neurodegenerative diseases using network-based neuroimaging methods. Since 2020, he has been working at the SZTE Department of Radiology as a resident. His main area of ​​interest is the study of the brain connection map (connectome) in various neurological diseases.
