Dr. Ilona Polyák obtained her general medical degree in 2001 at the Faculty of General Medicine of the University of Szeged. After that, she began her specialist training at the Department of Radiology, Szeged. From 2004 to 2020, she worked at the International Medical Center (later known as Affidea Diagnostics Kft.). In the meantime, she obtained her specialist exam in radiology in 2007. In 2009, she got her diploma from the doctor-economist degree program of the SZTE Faculty of Economics. In 2010, she became the head of the X-ray department and in 2014, the head of the Emergency Radiology Department. Since 2010, she has been involved in training medical students, radiology residents and from 2020 she is also a classroom lecturer. She has been a member of the Hungarian Society of Radiology since 2007, of the European Society of Radiologists since 2010, and of the MRT MSK section since 2015. Member of the Advisory Board of the MSK section since 2022. Currently, in addition to scheduling and the organization of daily work, the training of radiology specialists is also part of her duties. Her main area of ​​interest is muskuloskeletal diseases - mainly the diagnostics of sports injuries and emergent patient care.
