Hungarian-French-American inter-institutional co-operation starts with the leadership of the SZTE, on the basis of an international consortium. A year ago, the members of the University of Szeged were asked to help saving 300 lives together. Last year's blood donation produced an unexpected success: 171 blood donors contributed to saving 513 lives. After the extremely successful blood donations, university citizens are again asked to come and help saving lives by donating blood: on the 100th day of the year, voluntary blood donors are awaited on the 10th April at the József Attila Study and Information Centre.

American Corner Szeged celebrates its one-year anniversary this week. Since the opening of its program office on the 21st of March 2018 at the Szent-Györgyi Albert Agora in Szeged, they have had 8,000 visitors. More than 4,000 people from Szeged attended 140 events related to the American culture, language learning and science promotion.

More than 1% of all European mobility projects were implemented by the SZTE with its more than 360 trips. The University of Szeged improved its ’green results’ on a global and European scale as well. On the GreenMetric ranking, the SZTE moved forward from the 88th place, even though an additional 100 institutions entered the ranking by filling in the questionnaire.
