The Cluster of Humanities and Social Sciences of IKIKK (Centre of Excellence for Interdisciplinary Research, Development and Innovation of the University of Szeged) cordially invites you to its “Digital Humanism as a societal challenge” workshop on 14th December.
The Digital Humanism Initiative is an international collaboration seeking to build a community of scholars, policy makers, and industrial players who are focused on ensuring that technology development remains centered on human interests. This movement emphasizes the need to prioritize human values and universal rights, shaping technology to align with societal needs. The approach underscores the critical role of IT in society, calling for rules and guidance, a multi-disciplinary perspective, global collaboration, and a scientific, fact-based approach. The initiative asserts that technology should serve people, placing “humankind” at the forefront.
The main aim of the workshop is to present the results of the research groups connected to the ICT and Social Challenges Competence Centre and to discover the similar studies carried out by TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology).
The workshop will take place in the Informatorium of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Szeged, Egyetem utca 2., II. floor) and starts at 12:30. The detailed program and the booklet are available.
