Cluster of Education Modernization and Innovation

One of the goals of the University of Szeged is to create an educational portfolio that, both in terms of its content and methodology, is aligned with regional, national and international labour market requirements and is up-to-date. It is the University’s function to provide competence- and experience-oriented knowledge and education that is competitive regionally, nationally and international at all levels of training and across the whole range of academic fields.

During the operation of the Cluster, the main objective is to maintain a professional development facility of education strategy that overarches faculties and supports their training endeavours while providing central development solutions to the whole University. Digitalization, an experience-oriented approach and an international perspective are all central to these developments.

The main development areas of the Cluster:

• the formulation and operation of inclusive training programs in the name of lifelong learning and open universities;

• the creation of experience-oriented, flexible training forms that are based on labour market requirements, developments linked to curriculum building and educational methodology;

• the support of international cooperations;

• the implementation of international trends in educational processes;

• the improvement of foreign language acquisition;

• the promotion of digital and distance-learning methodology;

• the organization of digital skills development among students, academic staff and employees;

• the development of laboratory and vocational institutions forming the practical base of the University’s teacher training, thus ensuring the harmonization between admittance and leaving.
