The goals of the Cluster are to increase the innovation capabilities of the University, to enhance the practical benefits of research results, and to strengthen the cooperation between the agents of the R+D and innovation ecosystems in the fields Humanities and Social Sciences. The Cluster encompasses the excellent domestic and international, inter- and multidisciplinary researches and projects of the University in various fields of study that seek answers to the social phenomena and challenges of the 21st century such as digital society, ICT, AI, social innovation.
The Cluster promotes efficient communication and cooperation between units performing research activities. One of its key priorities is to initiate developments with a high innovation potential and to support their execution and practical use. Another is to establish its competence centres and research groups in the domestic and international research networks.
With the guidance of professional and operations managers, the Cluster harmonizes the operation and development of knowledge bases founded on the synergic cooperation of competence centres, programs, research groups, and partners. As centres with the R+D base and infrastructure to react to the development needs of the market, the competence centres of the Cluster contribute to the implementation of the partnership principle by establishing and developing partnerships within the University, in-between universities and outside the University – with government institutions, business and civil society partners, and international partners.
