Students Helping Students
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the largest student associations in Europe, bringing together thousands of volunteers who support international students throughout their study abroad experience. At the University of Szeged, ESN mentors are dedicated student volunteers who help newly arrived international and scholarship students settle into their new environment and make the most of their time in Hungary.
In close cooperation with the University, ESN mentors assist students with practical matters during their first weeks, introduce them to university life and help them adapt to living in Szeged. Whether you need advice on everyday life, campus facilities, or simply want to meet new people, ESN mentors are always happy to help.
Throughout the academic year, ESN organizes a wide variety of social, cultural, educational and recreational events, including city tours, international dinners, sports activities, language exchange evenings, trips across Hungary and cultural festivals. These activities provide excellent opportunities to make friends from around the world, experience different cultures and become part of the vibrant international student community.
Following the principle of "Students Helping Students", ESN aims to promote intercultural understanding, personal development and lifelong friendships while contributing to a more connected and inclusive Europe.
