A high-level delegation from Uzbekistan visited the University of Szeged’s Faculty of Engineering during the ArchEnerg Metal Cluster event to explore new avenues for cooperation in sustainable energy and technological innovation.
A delegation of prominent Uzbek officials – including Oybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Shokhruz Samadov, First Secretary of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Budapest – participated in the ArchEnerg Metal Cluster event at the University of Szeged’s Faculty of Engineering. The visit provided an opportunity to review previous joint projects, explore new avenues for future collaboration, and gain insight into the faculty’s latest research breakthroughs. The delegation also learned about the cutting-edge technologies developed by the ArchEnerg Metal Cluster, with a particular focus on utilizing solar, geothermal, and biomass energy.

Dr. László Péter Salgó, Government Commissioner of Csongrád-Csanád County, delivered the opening address at the event, highlighting the crucial role of international collaboration in driving sustainable energy advancements. He also underscored the significance of the cooperation agreement signed with the Surkhandarya region in April 2024 and expressed his hope that the meeting in Szeged would further strengthen Uzbek-Hungarian relations.

The opening address was followed by a speech from Oybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who spoke of his pleasure at returning to Szeged. He expressed deep pride in the strong foundation of professional exchanges between the two countries and emphasized that this collaboration would yield lasting benefits for both present and future generations.
The event’s first presentation was given by Prof. Dr. József Sárosi, dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Szeged and host of the event.

In his presentation, he stressed the importance of providing students with hands-on industry experience during their studies, helping them understand business needs and prepare for future challenges. He also reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to tackling emerging challenges and leading projects that shape the future.
The second presentation was delivered by Dr. Gyula Nagy, vice president of the ArchEnerg Metal Cluster.

Following the dean’s presentation, Dr. Gyula Nagy, vice president of the ArchEnerg Metal Cluster, provided an overview of the organization, outlining the range of opportunities it offers.
The final presentation featured Peters Electro Kft., showcasing the company’s groundbreaking invention, protected by multiple patents. Developed by Peters Electro, the Booster eSaver utilizes electric frequency technology to enhance energy efficiency and promote sustainability. This device is the result of years of research which led the company’s inventors to discover a specific frequency that modifies diesel fuel molecules, improving fuel efficiency without the use of additives or chemicals.

Discussions during the event centered on potential joint research and development initiatives, as well as opportunities in technology transfer and professional training.
