Experts from the EUGLOH 2.0 association, as well as representatives of the invited universities and institutes, exchanged experiences on international higher education, research, and development projects from May 29, 2023, for one week at the University of Novi Sad. The University of Szeged had the largest delegation at the conference organized in the framework of Erasmus+.

One of the four new members of EUGLOH is the University of Novi Sad (UNS), which, with almost 50,000 students and 14 faculties, is the second-largest higher education institution in Serbia. On Pentecost Monday, the week-long Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program began in Novi Sad, entitled "Internationalisation as a Measure of Quality in Higher Education, Science and HE Services".

At the opening of the event, the rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Dejan Madic, greeted the participants and expressed his joy about the fact that Novi Sad can become even more involved in international cooperation.

Administrative and academic staff of the EUGLOH 2.0 partner universities, as well as other partners of the host, who are directly or indirectly involved in the internationalization process of their institution, arrived from Portugal, Finland, Croatia, Romania, Spain, and Hungary.

From the University of Szeged, 9 people — the largest delegation at the conference — participated in the lectures and workshops at the University of Novi Sad.

The aim of the event was for professionals to learn about the complexity, depth, and different levels of the internationalization of higher education, science, and related services.

Among the topics discussed by the experts were digitization, international project management, digitization of student services for international and local students, as well as the possibilities of measuring internationalization and the possibilities of improving the efficiency of environmental protection.

Among other things, the participants were able to learn how to jointly apply for international scientific projects with partners from several countries, and how to establish connections and develop collaborations with regions outside of Europe, such as Latin America.

"As a member of Eugloh 2.0, the University of Novi Sad became part of a wider European higher education association. With the inclusion of Novi Sad, further potential professional contacts and scientific and research collaborations are possible for the lecturers, researchers, and students of our university" - said Dr. Előd Szabó, member of the delegation and head of the Office for International Cooperation and Admission of the International and Public Relations Directorate of SZTE.
