A weekend in the Botanic Garden where it's all about lavender and roses!
The University of Szeged's Botanic Garden is organizing Lavender and Rose Days for the eighth time. On 26 and 27 June, lavender and rose lovers of all ages are invited to enjoy a colorful cultural programme, quality concerts, plant demonstrations and a craft fair in the spirit of flowers.
In addition to the performances, there will be a day-long sale of handicrafts, souvenirs, jewellery, natural cosmetics and food, lavender, exotic and perennial plants.
During the two-day event, visitors can also learn about the most important features of medieval monastery herb gardens, the history of soap making and Kazakh-Hungarian literary relations, among other things.
The event is organized in cooperation between the University of Szeged's Botanical Garden and Cultural Office.
