University of Szeged to Host Counselor Engagement Day

The University of Szeged is hosting a Counselor Engagement Day on May 9, 2025. Organized by the Office for International Academic Programs, a division of the University’s Directorate for International Affairs and Public Relations, the special event aims to promote university engagement with high school counselors. Through this initiative, the University of Szeged seeks to strengthen ties with high schools by fostering collaboration and providing valuable insights into academic programs and resources available to prospective students.

Attendees will be able to connect with faculty members, explore the city, and learn about scholarship opportunities and the admission process. Interactive sessions and discussions will also be held to help counselors more effectively support prospective students in charting a clear course toward university success.

 

Reinforcing the University of Szeged’s commitment to guiding students in making informed decisions about their higher education journey, collaboration with high school counselors strengthens partnerships and broadens students’ access to academic resources, institutional networks, and career pathways. These connections play a key role in fostering a diverse learning environment and ensuring that students attain internationally recognized academic qualifications.

 

As part of these efforts, in 2024, the University of Szeged joined the Council of International Schools (CIS), a global organization that connects schools and universities across the world. This membership highlights the university’s dedication to upholding excellence in international education and extending its global reach.
