The University of Szeged will host its upcoming Counselors’ Engagement Day on March 11–12, 2026. Organized by the Office for International Academic Programs – a division of the University’s Directorate for International Affairs and Public Relations – the event is designed to deepen engagement with high school counselors from around the world. Through this initiative, the University of Szeged seeks to strengthen ties with high schools by fostering collaboration and offering valuable insights into the academic programs and resources available to prospective students.

At Counselors’ Engagement Day, attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with University of Szeged faculty members, explore the vibrant city of Szeged, and learn more about scholarship opportunities and the university’s admission process. The event will feature interactive sessions and discussions designed to give high school counselors access to the latest information and strategies, enabling them to better guide prospective students in making well-informed decisions and charting a clear path toward academic and personal success.
This event reflects the University of Szeged’s ongoing commitment to supporting students throughout their higher education journey by fostering strong collaboration with high school counselors. By strengthening these vital partnerships, the university provides students with broad exposure to a wide range of academic resources, extensive institutional networks, and diverse career pathways.
Additionally, the event will provide counselors with practical approaches to help them identify and address the unique needs of diverse student populations, promoting equity and inclusion from the earliest stages of planning for university studies. The event will also create space for meaningful networking with peers and university representatives, encouraging the exchange of best practices and innovative ideas that strengthen student support systems both locally and globally.
As part of its wider efforts to advance international collaboration, in 2024 the University of Szeged joined the Council of International Schools (CIS), a global organization that connects schools and universities across the world. This membership demonstrates the university’s commitment to excellence in international education and its ambition to extend its global reach.
