The Global Rankings of Academic Subjects list is based on data drawn from the Web of Science publication database. The methodology incorporates a wide spectrum of performance indicators related to research quality and international collaboration, including the number of scientific articles published in top-tier (Q1) journals for each field, citation impact, and the share of internationally co-authored publications. High-profile outputs in leading journals and at prestigious conferences are also taken into account. In addition, the ranking factors in the achievements of faculty members and researchers, such as major international awards, as well as significant professional contributions, including editorial roles in prominent scientific journals and leadership positions within global scholarly organizations.
