About a thousand people attended the Nobel Prize winners' lecture in person on 7 December from 14.00. According to our dispatched correspondent, everyone had to go through a strict security check, people were screened and their bags were searched. Katalin Kariko's guests were also present at the event.
Katalin Karikó presented the history of the therapeutic use of mRNA since 1961. She also spoke about her mentors and the researchers she has worked with. She occasionally made the audience laugh.
