David Pressman, Ambassador of the United States of America, Visited the University of Szeged

Rector Prof. Dr. László Rovó and Chancellor Dr. Judit Fendler recently welcomed U.S. Ambassador David Pressman to the University of Szeged and discussed the organizational structure and operation of the university and its cooperation with US institutions.

Ambassador Pressman also met with students at the University and discussed the new model of higher education, the impact of the war in Ukraine, and the students' views about the European Union’s decision to withhold certain funds from Hungarian universities. The students shared their experiences of studying at the University of Szeged and their aspirations for the future. The meeting highlighted the university’s commitment to provide a diverse and inclusive learning environment, with the aim of preparing its students to succeed in the globalized world.
