Hungary, as a committed member of the European Union and NATO, guarantees the safety of those living and staying in Hungary and provides all assistance to refugees from Ukraine.

The University of Szeged (hereinafter: University) does its utmost to help those who wish to study in Hungary after leaving war-torn Ukraine. The institution offers them the opportunity to join the University's graduate courses.

To apply, please visit the DreamApply interface at the following link: https://apply.u-szeged.hu/

Applicants are kindly requested to enter the tracker "Ukraine 2022" in the DreamApply interface during or after registration.

As the spring semester term started more than a month ago, this semester, the University will admit interested students as guest students, who will not have to pay application and examination fees, will be granted free guest student status and will be exempt from tuition fees for the semester. During the semester, the University will offer online courses to the admitted guest students. Successful completion of these courses will also earn them credits.

During the semester, the staff of the faculties and departments concerned will assess the professional knowledge of the applicants on the basis of the documents they provide and personal interviews. If the applicant meets the academic requirements, he/she will be able to join the normal curriculum from the autumn semester. Courses that are recognised by the University will of course be credited with the corresponding number of credits.

Guest students who have already been admitted can apply for an exceptional scholarship for a limited period of time, which will be funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The details of this will be communicated electronically by the University to the persons concerned after their admission.

For socially deprived students, the institution will also provide dormitory accommodation and board.
