The University of Szeged organised two successful events in the Autumn of 2020: the MaPLaS+S entrepreneurial skills and self-audit pitching training on 21-25 September, and a EUGLOH Student Conference on 28-30 September.

The MaPLaS+S training was organised for those PhD students who wished to deepen their economic knowledge regarding entrepreneurship and increase their creative skills needed to boost their future enterprises. The five thematic days of the training covered 5 large topics and practices: business planning, business plan in practice, entrepreneurial law, soft skills training and a self-audit pitching competition.

During its three days, the EUGLOH Student Conference had plenty of plenary sessions hosted by guest lecturers which were followed online by almost 150 participants. The presentations of the conference covered several global-health related topics: ageing and dementia as a global health challenge, noncommunicable and pandemic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, environmental challenges: water and food contamination, climate change, cancer screening and care, antimicrobial resistance, as well as miscallenious presentations regarding general global health challenges.

Both events were hosted online through the university’s Coospace platform, on which the participants could follow the events live. Several social activities were organized during both events, the students could test their knowledge on various quizzes, collected kilometres in challenge to promote healthy lifestyle, or they could even participate in a virtual sightseeing around the city of Szeged.
