Friday, February 23 2018, was a joyful day for the members of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. In fact, many students whose academic performance in the previous semester was outstanding were awarded the Scholarship offered by the Faculty.

In the afternoon of Friday, February 23, students, teachers and honourable guests from various companies gathered together in the KO Aula in order to take part in the Scholarship Ceremony. Once all the awarded students received their certificate, the audience enjoyed the inspirational speeches given by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Péter Kovács, and the Vice-Rector for Education of the Szeged University, Prof. Dr. Krisztina Karsai. The event was concluded with a cheerful toast to the awarded students.

As in every semester, among the Scholarship grant holders we also find international students of the Business and Management BA programme. The international community is a fundamental component of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Indeed, more than a hundred foreign students from all over the world are now part of it. The integration with Hungarian students is increasing rapidly, owing to the active participation of both groups in academic activities and initiatives, such as the Scholarship Ceremony. This is a promising start for a future further cooperation among Hungarian and international students.

In conclusion, we would like to give our best congratulations to the awarded students and compliment them for their excellent academic performance. May your studies be always so successful!

SZTE Experience

HardeepHardeep Kaur - Faculty of Sciences and Informatics - Biology PhD

Many of my Indian friends had already been studying here, and SZTE was very popular among them because of its quality education, research and the international community. Without any doubt I submitted my application for Biology PhD. Now, this city serves second home to me: beautiful, clean and modern at the same time carrying its ethnicity. Once I leave the city, I will miss everything about Szeged especially my friends and workplace.

GloriaGloria Kafui Esi Zodanu - Faculty of Science and Informatics

I’m a Ph.D. student from Ghana and enrolled in a scholarship program. I heard about the university for the first time from a friend as a peaceful and friendly place to be. Indeed, the city of Szeged is a quiet, and peaceful place to live. My supervisor and HOD’S approach to teaching gives me a better insight and understanding of the program. The city is very friendly, and I go shopping and walking in my free time. The Dom square is a magnificent landmark, and the surrounding buildings are excellent reference points of a branded city of natural beauty. The most attractive place for me in Szeged is the zoo. Hungary is a beautiful country with the rivers such as the Danube, Tisza and the surrounding bridges. My expectations of the university and study environment keep improving by the day, and I’m delighted. I will recommend the university to because of the quality educational system for career development.
