The academic director of the Department of Dermatology and Allergology of the SZTE, Dr. Lajos Kemény was awarded with the ’ILDS Certificate of Appreciation for International Leadership’ of the International League of Dermatological Societies on the 30th of November.
The annual meeting of the ILDS was held in Ho-Chi-Minh City, Vietnam. In this year, Dr. Lajos Kemény was awarded with the illustrious recognition. This privilege goes to excellent dermatologists in tribute to their efforts contributing to the international recognition of dermatology as a profession.
Professor Dr. Lajos Kemény obtained his medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Szeged and is currently the director of the Department of Allergology. His special field of interest are the immune system of the skin, the pathogenesis of inflammatory skin disorders and photodermatology. More than 400 of his articles were published in extenso, his aggregate Impact Factor is above 800 and he is obtaining a Hirch index of 43. He has participated over 100 research projects and the number of his patents is more than 30.
