About the programme
The main objective of this Doctoral School is to train researchers in the Educational Sciences. Our curriculum focuses on formal education, learning, and instruction in the paradigms of empirically-based social sciences. Students are prepared for engaging in a wide spectrum of research activities using a plethora of research methods and for studying the educational, psychological, social and economic contexts of schooling and learning.
Graduates often pursue careers in higher education, research institutes, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, regional and local educational administration, and companies in the field of education. Research areas include Learning and Instruction; Educational Assessment; Information and Communication Technologies in Education; Social and Emotional Education; Health Education; Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology in Education.

Who should apply?
We expect applicants to be interested in issues related to education and schooling. It is an advantage if the applicant has a Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a field related to learning and instruction.

There is an interview (in person or videoconference; covering the background of the applicant in research methodology, the chosen research field, and academic communication).
