About the program
The main objective of this Doctoral School is to train researchers in the Educational Sciences. Its curriculum focuses on formal education, learning, and instruction in the paradigms of empirically-based social sciences. Students are prepared for engaging in a wide spectrum of research activities using a plethora of research methods and for studying the educational, psychological, social and economic contexts of schooling and learning.
Graduates often pursue careers in higher education, research institutes, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, regional and local educational administration, and companies in the field of education. Research areas include Psychological Questions of Development and Education; Learning and Instruction; Educational Assessment; Digital Technologies in Education; Social and Emotional Education; Health Education; Content Pedagogy. Who should apply?
We expect applicants to be interested in issues related to education and schooling. It is an advantage if the applicant has a Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a field related to learning and instruction. Applicants should have a research topic and they must ascertain that it matches a research topic among those announced on doktori.hu (cf. http://160.114.35.186/phd/ ). It is recommended to contact the prospective supervisor announcing the chosen topic before submitting the application.
