1. What is you motto?

My motto is: “If it makes you happy, it’s never a waste of time.”

2. Why did you choose the University of Szeged as your study destination?

Studying at Szeged has offered me a rich and diverse academic experience. Choosing the University of Szeged for my studies was a decision driven by the exceptional reputation of the Bela Bartok Faculty of Art, which is named after the well-known Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, reflecting its deep-rooted dedication to musical excellence. The faculty’s state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities to perform in concerts and attend masterclasses with renowned musicians are essential for developing my artistic growth and professional development. This proves that Szeged is truly a comprehensive destination for various fields and professions, highlighting its status as a leading university in Hungary.

3. How do you find the student life here in Szeged?

Student life in Szeged is vibrant and enriching. The city is a perfect blend of a serene environment conducive to studying and a lively cultural scene that makes it easy to feel like being home.

4. If you are a member of an alliance or student association, please describe your role in it, and how it effects your student life.

I am an active member of the student board in EUGLOH, the European Alliance for Global Health. Being part of EUGLOH allows me to engage in various interdisciplinary projects and initiatives about global health, significantly enhancing my skills and broadening my perspectives.

5. What did you learn from traveling abroad to pursue your education?

Traveling abroad to pursue my education has taught me invaluable lessons about adaptability, cultural diversity and the importance of networking. These experiences have enriched my academic journey and prepared me for a globalized world.

6. What does your day look like outside of classrooms?

Outside of classrooms, my day is filled with practicing piano, participating in university events, and exploring Szeged. I often spend time in the city's beautiful parks, cafes, which provide a perfect balance to my academic life.

7. What is your favourite subject?

My favorite subject is Choir Singing as it is a significant part of Hungarian musical tradition. Performing in various choir concerts has helped me improve my vocal techniques and harmonization skills while also fostering a strong sense of community and teamwork among my peers.

8. Name one thing the University has provided you?

One significant thing the University has provided me is the opportunity to engage in various mobility study programs and extracurricular activities beyond my professional field.  For example, the experiences I have gained in mobility study programs in Spain, France, Serbia… not only enhanced my skills but also provided numerous networking opportunities and broadened my perspectives.

9. What is your favourite spot in Szeged?

My favorite spot in Szeged is Dóm Square, which is known as a symbol of Szeged, representing the city's rich history and cultural heritage. I love it for the spectacular fireworks displays that light up the sky during special events, creating a magical and vibrant atmosphere. The square's stunning architecture adds to its charm, making it a beautiful place where I can relax, enjoy the surroundings, and create unforgettable memories with friends.

10. What do you advice for those who are thinking about studying abroad?

For those considering studying abroad, my advice is to embrace every opportunity, be open to new experiences, and engage actively with the local community. These experiences will profoundly enrich your personal and professional life.

11. Describe a situation that has happened to you in Szeged and left an impact on you?

One impactful situation in Szeged was my participation in the EUGLOH annual summit. This event provided numerous networking opportunities and insights into global health challenges, significantly broadening my understanding and inspiring my future endeavors.

  12. What are your future plans?

In the future, I see myself contributing to the global music community, inspired by the knowledge and experiences I have gained at the University of Szeged. My goal is to promote cultural exchange through music and support young talented children in their artistic journeys.

13. Any other thoughts that comes to you mind that you would like to share as a closing sentence?

As a closing thought, I take immense pride in being a student at the University of Szeged and I hope my story also inspires you to become a student here.
