You must report the loss of your student ID by email before starting a new permanent student ID application. Our email address: hszi@hszi.u-szeged.hu.
The replacement fee for a lost valid sticker or a student ID with a valid sticker is 3500 HUF. Payment details are available under the Student ID Services menu.
I haven't applied for a student ID yet, but I want to now
A NEK datasheet is required, which can be obtained from any Government Office. Submit your application electronically via the Modulo platform. If Modulo cannot process your application, send a scanned copy of your NEK datasheet, ID, and address card to hszi@hszi.u-szeged.hu.
I want a temporary student ID while my permanent ID is being processed
If you have active student status, you can request a temporary student ID valid for 60 days. This is free of charge and issued after your permanent ID application is registered. The request must be made in person at the Students' Service Office.
How can I collect my permanent student ID?
Once notified that your ID is ready, collect it in person at HSZI by booking an appointment via the Modulo platform.
How long is the student ID valid?
The expiration date is printed on the back of the card. Fall semester stickers are valid until March 31, and spring semester stickers until October 31. Temporary student IDs are valid for 60 days from the issue date.
I’m eligible for a scholarship, but I haven’t received it
Please ensure your bank account and tax ID number are correctly registered in Neptun. Verify that your account is valid, HUF-based, and capable of receiving transfers.
Submit the Invoice Request Form in Modulo. The e-invoice will be issued within a few days and can be downloaded from Neptun under Finances/Invoices. For questions, contact hszi@hszi.u-szeged.hu.
How can I pay my tuition fee?
Payments can be made online through Neptun, in person at HSZI with a bank card, or via bank transfer. Detailed payment instructions are available on the Payment Handling page.
My employer only covers part of my tuition
Specify the amount covered by your employer on the invoice request form. You can pay the remaining balance online, in person, or via bank transfer.
I want to apply for a student loan
Applications can be initiated in Neptun under Administration/Student Loan. Visit www.diakhitel.hu for further details.
I wish to pay my tuition with Student Loan 2
Submit your active student loan agreement via the Student Loan 2 Submission Form in Modulo. The deadline is September 15 for the fall semester and February 15 for the spring semester.
Certificates can be collected in person or mailed to a Hungarian address specified during the request. For non-Hungarian addresses, contact hszi@hszi.u-szeged.hu.
How long does it take to receive the certificate?
Certificates for personal collection are typically ready in 1-3 days. Mailed certificates take an additional 5-7 working days depending on postal services.
How can I apply for a TAJ number?
You can apply for a TAJ number at the Government Office. The Students’ Service Office can confirm your student status for the application.

You must complete the form and submit it to HSZI either in person or via email at hszi@hszi.u-szeged.hu. HSZI will return the authenticated form within 1-3 days.
