According to the information provided by the Szegedi Környezetgazdálkodási Nonprofit Kft., public transport services from the beginning of the fall semester will be as follows:
For upper-year students, who have a valid a sticker on their Student ID Card for the 2024/25 spring semester or 2025/26 fall semester, public transport in Szeged will be available free of charge between September 8 to 14, 2025.
For first-year students, public transport in Szeged is available only with the presentation of a valid pass, together with a temporary Student ID or a high school Student ID card. Only the original temporary Student ID can be used for the public transport. According to the information provided by the Educational Authority, the temporary Student ID is accepted only with a valid stamp for public transport.
Application for and collection of the temporary Student ID can be done in person at the Students' Service Office form Monday, September 8, 2025.
Extended office hours: from 8AM to 4PM, September 8 to 19, 2025.
Services are available only with prior appointment booking!
