The University of Szeged takes efforts to found a new spin-off company to be closer to the international industry and support the utilization of two technologies from its patent portfolio. The Institution does not have enough resources and experience to manage this type of company, therefore the USZ is looking for a consultant who is able to support the project. The tasks of the consultant are as follows:

- found a company based in the EU to utilize two patented technologies from the portfolio of the University of Szeged;

- the consultant has to sing an exclusive licensee agreement with the University for selling out/licensing out the projects, named „Method and diagnostic kit for diagnosing susceptibility of post-traumatic scar tissue formation” and „Use of kynurenic acid analogues for the treatment of Huntington’s disease”;

- the consultant has to take efforts to out license/sell the technologies to a 3^rd party threw the spin-off company in order to increase the revenues from utilization of the University;

 

The Contracting Authority will consider the above mentioned condition fulfilled if the Contractor demonstrates that he has at his disposal a team of experts consisting of:

 

One project manager, who:

- has experience in utilizing of early stage technologies throw spin-off model;

- has experience in founding and managing spin-off companies originating from Universities;

- has a MSc degree in Business Administration

- speaks English at least at an advanced level (professional).

 

Justification of conditions:

- list of the spin-off companies which were founded by the project manager in order to utilize early stage technologies;

- copy of the degree of the project manager;

- copy of the certificate confirming language ability: certificate of language test or documents proving citizenship (in case of coordinator/manager from English speaking country, e.g. passport, ID card etc.) or copy of diploma from an English-speaking university.

Payment terms:

The currency of invoice and payment is EUR or HUF. The payment takes place in 60 days from the date of the invoice’s delivery, with bank transfer on the basis of the proof of the performance issued by the Institute.

The official language of the procedure is Hungarian, but offers can also be submitted in English language. The Inviting Authority expects offers from suppliers that can guarantee a prompt delivery and have a stable financial background. The Inviting Authority reserves the right to request further information from candidates within 5 working days in writing . Request for further information will be sent to each candidate with a valid offer. Following the submission deadline, the Inviting Authority evaluates the offers and candidates are informed on the result with the least possible delay.

The Inviting Authority reserves the right to cancel the above offer procedure fully or partially, without any justification. The Inviting Authority is not liable for consequences resulted by the withdrawal.

This call for proposal is not to be considered as a contractual commitment undertaken by the Inviting Authority. The call and the full procedure are subject to the Inviting Authority’s internal regulations.
