Information on Changes to Coursera Notifications

We would like to inform our students that the method of delivering notifications in the Coursera system has changed: the platform will now use your university email address to send messages. Please note that the way you log in to the Coursera platform remains unchanged.

If you have instructor status in Neptun, please add your university email address ending in @szte.hu or @*.u-szeged.hu in the Neptun system under the E-mail addresses tab on the My Data / Contact Information screen.

The following information applies to our students:

To ensure you do not miss any course-related information, we recommend that you monitor your university email inbox. If you prefer to read messages at a different, personal email address, you can set up automatic forwarding.

Setting up email forwarding (Horde)

You can make this change in the Horde email system as follows:

  1. Login: Log in to the Horde email interface. https://www.stud.u-szeged.hu/horde/index.php

If you haven’t registered for the interface yet, or if you don’t know your login credentials, you can access the registration page via the link above.

When logging in, you can select the interface language in the "Nyelv" field.

  2. Forwarding: Click the Forwards menu item.

    Horde menu bar

  3. Setting up forwarding: In the first field, enter the email address where you’d like to receive notifications.

  4. Keep a copy: If you want the emails to remain available in your university account, check the "Keep copy in your local mailbox" box.

  5. Save: To finalize the changes, enter your Horde password, then click the Accept button.

What should you watch out for?

  • Spam filter: In your newly created account, the first few forwarded emails may occasionally end up in the Spam folder.

  • Settings: Please check this folder and, if necessary, configure your email client so that messages from your university email address are not marked as spam.

Thank you for your cooperation!
