Thanks to Coursera for SZTE, students can choose from a wide range of courses to help them achieve their goals beyond their degree. Balázs Templom met his SZTE+ challenge with Coursera courses.

I learned about an opportunity at my university and immediately submitted my application on Module to have free access to courses through Coursera for SZTE. I'm currently in my 4th semester, studying Computer Programming, and I am very interested in the field of computer science. That's why I chose the Introduction to Java course, which covers all the basics of the programming language.

I have also taken the Learning to Learn course, which is very exciting and inspiring. It provides great insight into strategies and methods that help us learn new knowledge and skills effectively. Below, I will focus on some of the key factors I learned and how they have changed the way I learn.

One of the most important things I learned during the course is the significance of awareness. To learn effectively, we must first understand our learning styles and preferences. Then, we can consciously apply appropriate methods and strategies throughout the learning process. I learned how important it is to pay attention to time management, goal setting, and motivation to make progress in learning.

Moreover, the course introduced me to the benefits of effective note-taking and visual thinking. I learned how to create organized notes that help me grasp and retain information.

Another important theme of the course is finding a balance between learning and relaxation. In the past, I often overloaded myself with studying, which ultimately reduced my efficiency and motivation. With the help of the learning materials, I have learned how to schedule effective rest periods in my study schedule and how to use these breaks to improve focus and energy production.

The Introduction to Java course covers all parts of the Java language and explains why and how it works in the background.

In addition to my university studies, I would like to further develop my programming skills and meet people who specialize in it. My long-term goal is to create my software and work for large companies as a development manager. I plan to take more Coursera courses in programming and mathematics to advance professionally. With the programs I create, I want to help people and inspire others that anything can be achieved in life. My main goal at the moment is to complete my bachelor's degree and then find a job as a programmer in this field. If all goes well, I might consider a master's degree.
