Completion of courses

When can I complete a Coursera course?

In general, the completion of Coursera courses is not linked to the academic year. This means that you can complete courses during study period, exams and breaks.

Attention! If you complete the Coursera course material in the context of a course at the University of Szeged, your instructor may set a specific completion deadline, which you must meet. Check the completion deadline on the platform and in the course description!

What should I do if I have enrolled in a course but cannot complete it?

1. In general, enrolling in a Coursera course does not mean that you have to complete it. If you are not satisfied with the content of the course you have enrolled in, or if you have found another course you would prefer to take, you can drop the already enrolled course.

2. You can do this on the homepage of the platform or under "My Courses".

3. You can do this by clicking on the "Unenroll from Course" button in the top right-hand corner of the course tab.

Attention! If you are completing the Coursera course material as part of a course at the University of Szeged, your instructor may impose conditions on your course delivery.

Credit transfer

How can I convert courses taken within the Coursera for SZTE program into credits?

Within the Coursera for SZTE program, students have the opportunity to convert their completed courses into credits.

By completing the Coursera module or the Coursera intelligens szakosodás module, credits can be earned automatically (without a credit transfer procedure).

For more information on the content of the modules and the credits that are automatically credited, please follow this link.

Courses which are not part of the two modules above can be credited by applying for credit transfer:

1. This can be initiated during the normal credit transfer period.

You can find information about the periods on this link.

2. A normal credit transfer request form must be submitted in the Modulo platform under the "Interfaculty" tile.

3. On the form, you must select the code XO02-GEN for the subject you are completing. Also, indicate in the appropriate space that it is an online course.

4. You must also attach a Certificate of Completion to the form.
