"When I found the Astrobiology course, I had just finished my BSc in Biology and was getting into Computer Science in Program Design. Biology is about life. Today's biologist only deals with life on earth. But the question inevitably arises whether there could be life on other planets in the Universe. Within biology, we have always been mainly interested in the origin of life, the creation of the first nucleic acids and proteins, and the emergence of the first bacteria/archaea. That is why I chose this course.
I think I got more out of it because the compulsory classes were only about life on earth. This course, on the other hand, allowed me to learn about the possibilities for life on other planets."
