
Sustainability in International Business
The course presents the manifestation of the various aspects of sustainability in international business, which is then scrutinised by students with respect to an existing international corporation.
How does the company relate to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN? And to the green and digital transition strategy of the EU? Which are the company’s objectives and initiatives regarding sustainable energy and supply chain?
The SDG advocate expert, the EU policy and regulation expert, the energy management expert and the sustainable business operations expert members of the student team conduct their analysis and formulate their recommendations in collaborative work, in the form of a recorded video presentation.

Course requirements:
- Project task: The team has the task to carry out the sustainability analysis of an existing international corporation and to formulate recommendations for the company.

- The SDG Advocate Expert examines the connection to the UN SDGs and their implementation in the chosen business case, and proposes development in this area.
- The EU Policy and Regulation Expert exhibits a sound knowledge of the EU’s respective regulation and investigates the company’s compliance, prepares a compliance strategy through which the corporation contributes to the EU sustainability objectives.
- The Energy Management Expert concentrates on corporate energy consumption and energy efficiency along the applied energy usage practices and development potential.
- The Sustainable Business Operations Expert evaluates the company’s overall business operations from a sustainability perspective, including supply chain management, waste reduction, water usage and environmental aspects, followed by recommendations for improvement based on the evaluation.

- format: standard video format (pl. MP4) in good audio and visual quality
- size: a presentation encompassing 8-12 content slides, introducing the topic, evaluating the case study and presenting the team’s recommendations using visual elements (graphic representation, charts, images)
- duration: 15-20 min.
