Central Sequencing Laboratory MŰSZERKÖZPONTOK
Central Sequencing Laboratory

Established in the fall of 2023 with support from the university’s Center of Excellence for Interdisciplinary Research, Development, and Innovation, the Central Sequencing Laboratory at the University of Szeged provides a state-of-the-art genetic and molecular diagnostic instrument platform.

In designing our laboratory, we have prioritized the seamless integration of cutting-edge molecular onco-pathological and onco-genetic diagnostic technologies into routine testing practices.

Our primary objective is to swiftly and effectively meet research and diagnostic needs in oncology, medical genetics, and other health sciences by leveraging the latest sequencing technologies, including NGS and Sanger. We work closely with the clinical units of the Szent-Györgyi Albert Clinical Center to create new opportunities in research and patient care while enhancing the efficiency and reliability of diagnostic procedures. Our efforts include implementing PCR, Sanger, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) tests, as well as providing laboratory support for basic and applied biomedical research, drug development, and clinical studies involving human-derived samples.
