The University of Szeged’s Center of Excellence for Interdisciplinary Research, Development, and Innovation (IKIKK) will host OneHealth Summit – Szeged from September 10 to 12, 2026. Envisioned as a recurring health industry conference, the three-day event will embrace the One Health approach by fostering dialogue among researchers, industry representatives, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and regulatory experts. Organizations interested in presenting their products, services, and innovations will also have the opportunity to exhibit at the conference.

OneHealth Summit – Szeged aims to showcase the most important scientific and technological trends shaping the health industry, foster collaboration in innovation, and provide a forum for developing joint responses to the healthcare challenges of the future.

The conference program is structured around six key thematic sections. Participants will explore the latest advancements in drug development, medical devices, the cosmetics industry, dietary supplements and functional foods, data-driven healthcare, as well as innovation financing, spin-off companies, and intellectual property protection. Featuring Hungarian and international experts from the fields of policy, science, and industry, the plenary lectures and panel discussions will examine the regulatory environment, opportunities for translating research findings into practice, and emerging approaches to creating value through collaboration.

The conference will conclude with a forward-looking discussion that invites participants to look beyond individual projects and short-term business objectives and consider the kind of healthcare, environmental, and social systems society should build and pass on to future generations.

OneHealth Summit – Szeged is far more than a conference. It is a forum where representatives from different scientific disciplines, industry, and the regulatory community come together to address the health industry’s most pressing challenges. We have designed the program to ensure that every participant leaves with practical insights, new professional connections, and inspiring experiences,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Ildikó Csóka, Director General for Strategy and Development at the University of Szeged and Chair of the Conference.

The OneHealth Summit event will also highlight the strength and ambition of the University of Szeged’s research and innovation ecosystem. The University’s research teams and industry partners will present their latest developments and technologies, while exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

“The University of Szeged has a strong portfolio of research achievements and innovations with the potential to address the healthcare challenges of the future. It is essential that these advances reach not only the scientific community but also industry and the business sector, because innovation can only realize its full potential through collaboration,” says Prof. Dr. Zoltán Kónya, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation at the University of Szeged and Patron of the Conference.

Beyond the conference program, companies and organizations are invited to present their innovative products, services, and developments at OneHealth Summit – Szeged as exhibitors. The exhibition will provide a dedicated forum for health industry companies, research institutions, and development organizations to connect directly with leading representatives from academia and industry and establish new partnerships.

Discounted early bird registration is available through August 16, with standard registration open from August 17 to September 3.
