SZTE is the Best Hungarian University in Another Comparison

The UNI 2022 University Ranking was launched at the 22nd EDUCATIO International Education Exhibition in Budapest. By comparing the international rankings of the last three years, the volume aims to provide a credible picture of the Hungarian higher education institutions. The publication takes into account the results of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and Times Higher Education (THE). The University of Szeged emerged as the winner in the overall ranking.

The attention is continuously rising on the international ranking of Hungarian universities when considering further studies. UNI in&out 2022 presents the best Hungarian higher education institutions by aggregating their positions in international higher education rankings from previous years. The authors of the publication have also compared institutional and education area rankings, using results from international and domestic higher education rankings.

 

The comparison showed that there was an ultimate winner in all three years, with the University of Szeged in the QS ranking and Semmelweis in the THE ranking. In the last three years, the University of Szeged has been the absolute top performer in the two rankings, consistently ranking first among Hungarian institutions in the QS world rankings while It also ranks highly in the Times Higher Education rankings, making it the best ranked Hungarian higher education institution.

 

The University of Szeged has also earned itself a remarkable ranking in regional international rankings, being ranked 33rd in the 2020 edition of the QS European and Central Asian University Ranking (QS EECA) and 29th in the latest 2022 ranking.

 

The authors of the publication have also examined the 2021 enrolment and student excellence data, as well as the latest DPR (Diploma Progression System Administrative Data Reconciliation 2020) data. The UNI 2022 data also showed that, according to the latest DPR data, nursing and patient care graduates from the Faculty of Health Science and Social Studies can expect to earn the best starting graduate salary in the country.

 

The UNI 2022 University Ranking, which will debut at the exhibition, is planned to be a biannual magazine. The aim of the publication is to address and help young people who are about to choose a university, graduating students who are close to earn their degrees and their families. Moreover, to support them by comparing and presenting higher education institutions in Hungary. The data series will be complemented by interviews and short professional articles to help you make your decision.
