The University of Szeged is a co-founder of European University Alliance for Global Health – EUGLOH, the alliance of five European universities.

This project provides numerous opportunities for students of the SZTE. If you submit your application for the University of Szeged, you can decide whether you wish to study, apply for a scholarship or join to a research project at the University of Paris-Saclay (France), University of Lund (Sweden), University of Porto (Portugal) or Ludwig Maximillian University (Germany).

The program submitted jointly by participants has been given financial support within the framework of European University Alliance scheme for 3 years.

The project incorporates 5 universities, 73 faculties, 210,000 students, 23,000 professors and researchers as well as 450 research centers and laboratories. Thanks to the EUGLOH all students of the SZTE are entitled to enter any study program offered by participating universities within the Erasmus+ mobility program or even to obtain a degree.

The European Union aims to develop the higher education system and to redefine the concept of ’university’ – this is the main reason why EUGLOH project was founded. When applying for the University of Szeged, you will feel a change: international atmosphere and scholarship opportunities, trainings, online courses and virtual mobility are on campus.

The main principle of this project is international approach since you can learn from international teachers, take part in competitions abroad or join international research projects. SZTE Experience

HardeepHardeep Kaur - Faculty of Sciences and Informatics - Biology PhD

Many of my Indian friends had already been studying here, and SZTE was very popular among them because of its quality education, research and the international community. Without any doubt I submitted my application for Biology PhD. Now, this city serves second home to me: beautiful, clean and modern at the same time carrying its ethnicity. Once I leave the city, I will miss everything about Szeged especially my friends and workplace.

SantiagoSantiago Vallejo - Faculty of Law and Political Sciences

I’m from Ecuador and a Ph.D. student from the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program. I first heard about the University of Szeged on the internet. The general study environment is nice and student life in the city is lovely. With my program and the academic system, I can control my time which is a plus. The city is very affordable, and I live in the city center. One of my favorite extra-curricular activities is the Hungarian cultural programs. I have so many favorite spots, but parks are top on the list. The professors and staffs are very approachable. The mentors and classmates also did an excellent job to explore and know the city better. I hope to continue my career as a professor, and I would recommend the university to friends because it is, in general, a beautiful place.
