EUGLOH Student Roadtrip UPS
The latest EUGLOH Student Road Trip took place between 10 and 12 April and was organised as part of Work Package 5. The idea for the event came directly from the students, with the aim of getting to know the Alliance's partner universities and giving the Student Boards the opportunity to meet and work together in person. This time the event was hosted by the Université Paris-Saclay, near the French capital.
On the first day, UPS introduced itself and the Student Boards held various workshops and presentations on topics such as "Building Real Connections Beyond Classes", "Course on Conflict Management" and the University of Szeged Student Board's own session entitled "Communication Strategies of the University of Szeged Local Student Board". In the evening we attended the show "How to Become a Parisian in One Hour", where we picked up some humorous tips on how to act like a real Parisian.
The second day continued with a presentation on the Work Package 5 Campus Life Project, followed by an introduction to the Student Ambassador System at UPS. After that, the International Student Board gave their presentation and we also had the chance to take a guided tour of the campus. Later we went to the Louvre Museum.
On the last day, we went to the Europa Experience Office in Paris, where we attended an interesting program on the history and functioning of the European Union. This stop was particularly important as the EUGLOH project is part of the European Universities Initiative and is co-funded by the European Union - so learning more about the background and institutions of the EU added valuable context to our work together in the Alliance. At the end of the Road Trip, we took a boat tour on the Seine to experience a different, more scenic side of the city.
