Changes in the EUGLOH USZ LSB
As the new academic year started, personal changes have happened in the EUGLOH USZ Student Board.
With the new academic year of 2025/2026, we are saying goodbye to some of our excellent Local Student Board members. This change has also given an opportunity for new students to take on roles in the Local Student Board.
On the picture, our Institutional Manager Mónika Gortva-Kónya is thanking the hard work of Florabelle Cabarrubias, former President of the Student Board and Divyanshi Divyanshi, Vice Presindent of the LSB.
Please read the farewell message from Florabelle.
Passing the Baton: Reflections on My EUGLOH Journey
As I bring my time as President of the EUGLOH Student Board at the University of Szeged to a close, the reality of this transition has yet to fully sink in. Deciding to step down wasn’t easy, but after a lot of reflection, I know it’s time.
EUGLOH has been more than a leadership role or a student initiative for me. It became something deeply personal. It mirrored everything I’ve always believed in, things I first stood for back in the Philippines. Healthcare has never been, in my eyes, just about treatments or hospitals. It’s about protecting patients through fair policies, creating systems that allow healthcare workers to do their jobs with dignity, and pushing research that actually matters. It’s about the spaces we design, the communities we nurture, and the small moments that remind us of our shared humanity. When all those things come together, that’s when we truly build something better.
EUGLOH made that vision real. It challenged us to think differently, to see complexity rather than avoid it. It pushed us to learn, lead, and listen. To shape solutions, not just study them. Through its programs, workshops, and collaborations, it gave students room to grow as people, not just professionals.
Being part of this community has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my academic life. Leading it has been an even bigger privilege. I’m leaving with gratitude, for the people who believed in what we were building, for every conversation that changed how I see the world, and for the reminder that good leadership starts with empathy.
And now, it’s time to pass the baton to the next leadership, one I genuinely believe will be every bit as inspiring as it has been. I carry the hope that everything we’ve built together in EUGLOH will not only endure but continue to grow into something even better. This isn’t just about continuing a role, it’s about continuing a tradition, a mindset, and a commitment to making a difference in EUGLOH as a student board. And knowing that the future is in such capable hands fills me with both peace and excitement for what’s to come.
This isn’t a goodbye to EUGLOH. It’s just me stepping back with a full heart and deep respect for everything and everyone that made this journey what it was.
